The Lady Lever Art Gallery

The Liverpool Museums network hosts weddings in many of their historic buildings - but set in the iconic surroundings of Port Sunlight, the Lady Lever is my favourite for places you might not have considered checking out!

You can hold a small ceremony of up to 30 guests, before inviting up to 150 to the grand hall for a wedding breakfast and 400 for your evening celebrations.

With striking architecture and glass-domed rotundas that look out onto a beautiful fountain - The Lady Lever is perfect for an elegant and unusual celebration.

The Secret Bunker

Have you seen this amazing venue yet? It's hidden away in a former civil defence nuclear bunker in Nantwich and is one of the most unusual places you'll find for your wedding day.

The team at the Secret Bunker are wonderful, and have different spaces on their site to host different sized weddings with different, quirky vibes depending on your personality. From their Cinema space for up to 30 guests (anyone want an intimate wedding?), to the 'War Room' for up to 150 guests (and also licensed for ceremonies)... click the link below and have a look at their photographs to get a true feel for how different it really is!

Peckforton Castle

How about living your fairytale fantasy and getting married in an actual castle?

Boasting no less than FIVE licensed ceremony rooms, hosting weddings for between 2 and 150 guests - Peckforton Castle has everything on site that will make your actual dreams a reality. With a Great Hall for a big grand affair, a cosy Wine Cellar for a romantic candlelit celebration, and more - you're bound to fall in love with one of their spaces for your wedding day.

Despite the fact that they have so much space available to use, they only ever book one wedding a day too - an added bonus for you and your guests.
